Ten much needed improvements in Twitter:

Forget all the twitter clients and Apps available out there, this post is about what the web-based service lacks. If the below is applied, I think twitter would be 10 times better:

1-Retweet button. Just like there is little reply button on the tweets we get, I think a retweet button would be great.

2-Favorite person: We can favorite a tweet, but why can’t we favorite a tweep? I would love to have a little link that displays tweets only from my favorite tweeps.

3-Archives: Like any blog, I believe we should be able to archive our tweets by month, or year or whatever. If you click on your Updates now, you simply get them all, you need to keep clicking MORE and MORE to go back. A little archive on the right of the page won’t hurt.

4-Grouped direct messages and retweets: It would be amazing if I can group my direct messages per sender, or do the same for retweets or replies.

5-Filters for followers: when I visit my Followers page, I cannot filter followers by country or my interest (key words extracted from bio probably) or time. I have over 1000 followers, reviewing them is a bit difficult, filtration is much needed.

6-What’s up with the MORE and Next buttons at the bottom of the Followers and Updates page? Shouldn’t there also be a Last? or numbering like 1 2 3 4 5 6 … Last?

7-Twatalogs: Just coined this word! what I mean is catalogs for Twitter. Tweeps need to belong to cities, interests, and so on. This makes searching for tweeps easier. For example I’m very interested in searching for tweeps who are interested in Technology, and based in the Middle East. This should be under the Find People tab.

8-Followers or Following drop down menu: Wouldn’t you love a Followers or Following drop down menu on the main page, where you simply click on it, type M then Z to get MZAHER and click on it to see my updates?

9-Search Tweets: I want an easy way to search all my tweets for certain keywords, or the tweets of others.

10-Flag a tweep: When I click on my Followers page, I can Follow or Block, what if I need to Flag a spammer as well.
