A blogger in jail, this is not very new folks. Many bloggers disappeared from several countries like Egypt, Malaysia and China for various reasons. I am not going to blog about “Freedom of Expression” as I don’t want to die in jail either. Instead, I would like to remind bloggers in the region of a few points.

Dubai Executive Council issued a new law prohibiting inappropriate behaviour in public places of the emirate. Such behaviour is nudity, kissing, wearing "disrespectful" clothes and even holding hands. I do respect and welcome Dubai's attempt to protecting its identity and cultural values from any western influence, but could something like that work in Dubai?
I was getting a hair cut when I watched a horrendous video clip by a singer called Jad Choueiri. The song I watched is called Funky Arabs and although it might be funky, I couldn’t understand at all what was Arab about it.
